Jun nodded in agreement, keeping his contentment contained for the time being; anything could still go wrong, and they had to expect the worst. he scanned the area quickly before leading her in through a window that he had scoped out. The room was relatively empty, likely an office that wasn't in use for the time being. He swiftly ran to the door, kneeling down and putting his hand to the floor, letting his fingers liquify and slide beneath it, enabling him to scan the hallway.
"All clear; we have to move quickly, it should be in the central area, where they can keep it the most secured."
He slipped the door open, leading them out and down the hallway as quietly as possible, working their way into the heart of the manor.

Down in central filing....
A look of concern crossed Nariko's face, the petite blonde stopping halfway across the room large with an arm full of scrolls with a look of mild discomfort. The slightest of rumbles had rocked her sensitive perception, feeling as though something large had fallen somewhere in the village. How unusual.
"Hey, you guys feel that?" She looked in the direction of her teammates, who were shuffling away papers as well, as per their task for that day.

Tetsuya looked up from the scroll he had become involved in, clearly getting more reading done than work (and who had expected any different?), seeming in the dark.
"Feel what, Na-" His inquiry was cut off by the slow rumble of destruction, like rolling thunder in the air. "Well...that can't be good. Should we take a look..?" There were guards on duty, but their task wasn't exactly pressing, and it was possible that they could use the extra help.
"Probably...Filing papers won't do us any good if we're under attack." Kaiya chimed in, though her concern was more with getting out of the stuffy storage room than anything else.

"You don't think people are attacking, do you?" Her concern seemed to grow as she scuttled over to the table and unloaded her arms. That would be the worst thing imaginable! D:
"If there was an attack, it would be more than jus' one blow. Invasions press in from several directions at once, like an ambush. 'S probably jus' a scuffle." Takahiro interjected from his cozy slump over at another table, illustrating with his hands. Their teacher seem less than worried though, smiling warmly at the crew. "Anyway, you guys'd just get in the ay if it were an invasion. Better off filin' papers, eh?"
He grinned widely at them, kicking his feet down off the table and headed to the door as he flicked out a cigarette.
"I'mma take a smokin' break. You guys keep up the good work, eh?" More an order than a suggestion.

Tetsuya nodded in compliance, though he'd been around his sensei long enough to know when something was up.
"He's definitely checking things out...hopefully it really isn't serious though. I can' imagine anyone who would be stupid gutsy enough to try and attack the village head one." He dropped a stack of scrolls carefully into their designated shelf, kicking up a small cloud of dust. "Bleh."
"Maybe~" Kaiya hummed thoughtfully, running scenarios over in her mind. There were some stupid people out there, after all, who'd love to take a shot at the village. Besides that, if she could come up with something convincing, maybe it would get them out of here. =P
"Would it really hurt if we stepped outside to look? Just in case?"

"As long as no one knows~" Nariko sang, taking the girl's hand and hopping over toward the door. "It's not like there's any danger in here anyway. Whatever happened was way off in the marketplace."
Her senses were scary accurate sometimes.

"Ohh?" Kaiya was always surprised at how accurate the other girls sense could be; it was hella useful sometimes as well. "Then it should be fine!" She chirped, gleefully going out the door with her team mate in hand. Tetsuya carefully made sure they weren't leaving anything too out of place, then followed after, shutting the door carefully behind them.
A short ways away, Jun was continuing his trek through the building, taking extreme precautions to make sure they weren't being tailed or noticed. Thankfully it wasn't very busy at the time, and several of those staffed had gone out to see what all the commotion was. It would have been perfect, but Jun caught wind of people moving in their general direction, albeit perhaps not intentionally.
"Shit, we've got incoming..." He noted, waving Seul-ki down and finding a nearby room to duck into. Hopefully they would just go right by...

"...get something better soon. We could luck out and end up with something super important one day!" Nariko sang in a chipper voice as they made their way down the hall. "They can't keep us on menial task force forever, you know?"
She paused for a moment, looking somewhat perplexed.
"....you hear that?" She was quite sure she'd heard footsteps and voices that weren't their own.

Tetsuya shifted his head, letting some of the hair fall away from his eyes. "Must've been out of our range...did it really sound suspicious?" They were in the manor after all, and even with whatever was going on, it wasn't unfathomable that there were other people around. But he knew from experience to trust Nariko's instincts in these sorts of situations.
Jun, meanwhile, was using he same liquid trick as before to peer into the hallway from beneath the door, being extremely careful to keep the water shadowed beneath the door itself, in case a passerby were looking at the ground for any reason. He couldn't see anyone, which meant they must have stopped.
That could only mean they had been heard...
He held his hand back in Seul-ki's direction, flexing it into a fist wordlessly. Be ready to fight.

"Maybe it was nothing.... I'm just being paranoid now." She nodded her head though, holding a finger up in front of her lips in a signal to not say anything contradictory. If they were close enough that she could hear them, it was possible that they could hear her too. The steps had been disturbingly quiet, one of them squishing just the slightest bit as though wet; it was suspicious that they'd stopped as they had...
She waved them forward again, walking down the hall as if this were normal. As expected, there was no one visible around the corner since most had gone to see what was going on or retreated to their offices. There was the slightest hint of breathing though...
Quietly, she gestured to the door, unaware that they were being watched as well.

Jun could see the group, easily the same age as he and his team mates. They shouldn't be a terrible threat, but there was always the chance that they could alert someone, or had a sensei nearby. Besides the fact that he and Seul-ki were still out numbered. He would have to act quickly and carefully...
Forming some swift hand seals, Jun fired a volley of water bullets through the door and walls, trying to take down the enemies before hey could react, though he knew it wouldn't be so simple. Taking advantage of the confusion, he turned and fired a final one into the floor, creating a hole for his partner to escape through. Promptly after doing so, he let himself collapse to the ground in a puddle of water, intending to play the kids off like water clone.
Tetsuya, having pushed the girls to safety, himself tumbling away, was already charging the room, preparing his own counter assault with a series of wind bullets, knowing his fire wouldn't be much used against a water user.

Seul-ki stuck her tongue out at the boy, partially liquifying to avoid the attack as she dropped down through the floor and out of sight. It seemed their covert operation had been spoiled. How troublesome. Oh well. She landed gracefully on the floor below, finding herself in some sort of office. Only allowing a moment to acclimate herself to the area, she sprinted forward and unleashed her own volley of water bullets up through the floor in the general direction of the children, attempting to draw them down to her and away from Jun. They didn't seem to be that big a threat, but playing around was quite fun.
