Abe groaned, yanking himself through lots of vines and plants. Holy shit this was a pain. x-x
It was only in this process that something dawned on him. Had she just...hit him with something? He glanced around, searching her out. She had some kind of stick but...he hadn't even felt that.
"Well, at least that gives me some hope." He grumbled, trying to quickly find a way out of the rose bush of doom. Thankfully for him, an escape was sent his way, though it wasn't quite what he expected...
Everything seemed to explode, bursting into flames and debris, hurtling the world in circles before tossing them aside. Abe shielded himself against the debris, and eventually was able to climb to his feet some unmeasurable distance away, feeling a tad bit shaken.
"Oh man...does her stick have some kind of crazy aftershock affect or something?" He said with a sigh, wiping a bit of blood from his brow.
Worst day ever.

Well, it wasn't as though Kaiya was particularly enjoying it either. She was spending far too much time underneath this disgustingly dry ground for her liking.
The girl resurfaced once the flames passed, Shaolin spade in hand and eyes wary, more for any more of those large scale attacks from the kages than the boy she had set herself against. She was sure he was still alive, but killing him wasn't particularly her objective anyway; she rose to her feet, eyeing the boy several yards away carefully.
"You still alive then?"

"Yeah, seems that way." He muttered, glaring back at the woman. This would probably be one of his better chances to strike...
But something in his head stopped him. Some sort of...nagging.
Oh, I'm nagging you now am I? Is that how you treat your own mother?
Abe grimaced a bit, shaking his head. Oh shit, that was not good. So not good. =_=
The boy knelt down for a moment, almost as though he had collapsed. There was a long silence, his body twitching as though he were fighting some sort of inner battle, before finally he wobbled back to standing, reaching up and pressing his hair back forcefully, slicking it so that it seemed curiously more feminine. There was a difference in his eyes and...
He lifted and arm, palm out, and gave a oddly terrifying "Ohohohoho." laugh, the way one might expect a bitchy rich woman to do.
"The poor boy never was good with other children. Now, why don't you go back to playing in the garden little girl, before I have to teach you a lesson~"
Yeah. He sounded creepy, there's no getting around that.

._.
Kaiya couldn't find words for the longest moment, face stuck in a state of "wtf" at the sudden change in her opponent's demeanor. Gawd, he.... he sound just like her mother. Was he fucking playing? Oh no. Oh fuck no.
"I don't know what the hell you're playing at, but you're toying with the wrong person. I'm only supposed to be here to keep you from aiding the Kazekage or that little spy bitch, but if this is how you wanna play, then it's fucking on." She swung the bladed staff out, eyes narrowed on the boy with an undiluted hate that suggested she wasn't really seeing him anymore, but someone else.
I hate that bitch. Don't you bring her back, I've already killed her once. I hate that bitch!
The young woman lurched forward, an entire host of vines bursting up from the ground in her wake, shooting out toward toward the man as she rushed forward, twisting and swinging the large spade-shaped blade down toward his head as soon as he was within the weapon's reach.

"Abe" just laughed, slipping his feet out into a curious stance, as though intending to avoid the attacks, but instead, in a motion so small and barely visible, he kicked his front foot outward, sending a sudden wall of earth between them.
Forming a quick seal, "Abe" rolled his body around, striking at the wall, twisting, and striking again, in a graceful form that was far from anything he typically did. The rock wall twisted, mimicking him and forming into a massive rock hand, first clasping the vines, gripping them, and then propelling itself against the gardening kunoichi.
"Tenshi's Sway: Heaven Moves, Earth Follows." He declared, licking his lips.

The vines burst into new clouds of poison from where the jagged hand ripped them open, spreading rapidly in thick billows that obscured vision entirely.
"HRRRRAAAAUGH!" The young women propelled herself up and over the large rock structure, the earth seeming to roll after her in large waves the overturned the hand-like thing, growing larger until they slammed into the boy, throwing him off his feet. Kaiya intercepted him, clashing midair in a spurt of blood; the smaller, crescent-shaped blade at the lower end of her spade drove itself into his chest, digging in as deep as she could manage it before she flipped him over her with the leverage her staff gave her, flinging him back down to the ground just as the last wave of earth crested up to meet him in what would promise to be a back-breaking blow.

"You can't best me in the art of Doton, child. Ohohohohoho." His voice echoed, laughing from somewhere a distance back. The body that Kaiya had speared revealed that it was leaking mud, not blood, as it crumpled against the earth, which continued forward, not heeding its original commands any longer.
The ground broke split off, forming into two more giant earth hands, rounding off before striking at the airborne kunoichi with a pair of massive rock fists.

The hands smacked right into the girl, sending her back into the air flailing helplessly. She landed amidst a partially ruined building, a rush of foliage spreading from the seeds that dropped from her struggling form; the vines grew steadily, wrapping up around her before pulling her back into the earth again. That had hurt like a bitch; she didn't know what was up with this guy, but the large fight in the background seemed to have died down, which meant it was probably time to wrap this up.
The foliage found the man (woman? It seemed female now that she thought about it) easily enough, bursting up from the ground and winding up around his legs and torso swiftly, thorns digging in and restraining him. Kaiya rose a short distance away, entwined with a more slender, smooth vine crowned with a large bloom. She stepped gingerly, cupping the flower in her hands for a moment before releasing it like one might release a bird. The vine arched, taking on a life of it's own and closing the distance between itself and the young man before it; it spiraled up his height, wrapping itself around his neck so that the large, violently colored flower was right in his face. The petals fidgeted a moment, almost seeming to be studying him of their own accord before belching out a fine purple mist.
"Kono-Hana: Human God Bloom." She stated quietly, tying her hair up with the ribbon from her wrist. The vines restraining the boy were fidgeting now as well, growing noticeably thicker before exuding large seeds that dropped to the scorched earth below and immediately burst into more flowers and foliage that wrapped themselves around him more, digging deep into the ground. "It's a very potent poison; it can last on skin and clothes for days, starts working withing minutes, and the antidote is very hard to come by. Do you feel nauseous? Most people do by now, but you've proven yourself stronger than that. How long do you think you'll live with that much blown in your face? With Kono-Hana still holding you so tight?"
She cocked her head, voice void of any sarcasm and most emotion. If anything, she seemed somewhat concerned, if a bit vacant.
"My mother thought she could power through something like that as well, but the more you exert yourself, the faster the poison will work. Will you live?"

Abe's body went completely still as he became entangled, freezing up, eyes and mouth shut as though he had up and died at that very moment. There was a long pause before anything more happened, the plants rustling and shaking more violently than they had on their own before; and in a frenzy, a series of lengthy streams of mud erupted out around them, coating the plants and smothering them down to the ground, while another string of mud whips grew around the woman, lashing out at her in an attempt to whip and tie her down into similar submission.
Now free, Abe leapt back, alive again, and safely away, fell to one knee, spewing up a puddle of thick mud mixed with blood as he gasped for air. A similar mixture of liquid dripped from his nostrils and ears, oozing down his face. Slowly, even his skin seemed to melt off in a muddy mess...
"Your plants are dangerous child, but that poison's no good if it doesn't reach~" He grinned haughtily, though the fatigue was more than obvious, if not more so by the blood that had been coughed up. Indeed, using the mud jutsu at the last moment as a gag and buffer had kept the poison out, but it seemed like Abe's body simply wasn't used to this sort of earth manipulation. Anything more, and it'd likely shut down...
Tch, silly boy, always lifting the ground with his fists. No skill for the subtle arts, I suppose...

The plants that had risen around the girl's feet whipped up into a protective cocoon, exploding outward in a flurry that destroyed the boy's mud whips. The leafy foliage stayed around her, spiraling restlessly in preparation for any other attacks; the girl seemed less than enthused, studying the man with curious and distant eyes.
"I wouldn't think that you're in the place to be taunting me at this point. I always have more poison, but you only have so many ways to avoid it." Her energy was starting to get a tad low at this point, but she could still continue to fight if it came down to it. He didn't seem so fortunate; she could only assume that it had something to do with his odd mental state or even some other circumstances. Either way, she would be able to hold out longer, just until he gave out or Nariko arrived...

Abe gazed the woman down, obviously trying to plot out how to go about getting through this fight. The cards were certainly stacked against them...and in this state, pushing further would only leave the boy's body in a more difficult position to recover.
I may have to let Abe dear take back over...I don't have the strength to keep control...
Letting her grip slip back into the hands of her son, Abe's body started to rise weakly, the change in his demeanor easily visible. But damn...what to do from here...
But that decision was out of his hands just as quickly as it had been placed back. A rapidly spinning funnel of flames shot in between the pair, before bursting out away, revealing a pale foreigner, staring the kunoichi down with cool gray eyes.
He leaned back nonchalantly, a series of strung gourds rattling at his side, shooting a short glanced back at the young man behind him.
"Well...I thought we were helping Suna but...I guess you didn' agree with the motherland, hm? *hic*"
He chuckled slightly, eyes shifting back to the woman. There was an underlying aloofness to his drunken eyes that suggested there was more to him than one might suggest.

The woman's eyes narrowed, plants furling and unfurling around her for a long moment as she studied the man before starting to crawl their way up and around her body. While she probably could have taken down the traitor boy, she knew there was no way in hell she'd last five minutes with this new arrival; she was too worn out now, and she didn't have to be a sensory type to fell the energy he exuded.
"Whatever. My job here's already done." Before anyone could make a move, the plants had pulled the woman back in to the ground and any trace of her disappeared

Ryuu grumbled a bit, scratching his scraggle and shaking his head. Hell of a mess they had going on here. Were they on the path to war yet again? It seemed some people never learned...
He took a swig from one of his gourds, turning back to check on the young guy he had saved, only to see that he was gone. A bit dumbstruck, he shrugged it off, deciding to track down JG and regroup. It seemed they had arrived a little late to the party anyway...
In the meantime, Abe had taken off, hoping to track down the invaders before they got away again. He'd taken a hurting, but he couldn't let them get away. More than anything, he was worried about Kara...
