Basic Character Info
Name: Ayumu Hyun-Shik Shim-Song
Alias(s): "Buck", The Gold-Tailed Flash
Village: Tsumegakure
Rank: S-rank chuunin
Organization: jinchuuriki
Gender: male
Age: 21
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 145 lbs.
Body Build: Tall, tanned, and tell-toned like the body of a runner or someone who works often in the sun and heat.
Eyes: Almond-shaped, bright yellow and full of energy; the irises are lined with a thick black ring that juts inward to a point at every quarter of the ring.
Hair: pulled into a long ponytail at the sides and back; the top is cut into a faux hawk that sticks up a bit and hangs just at eye level. Hangs low in front of both ears; has a small goatee and a bit of stubble.
Clothing: Tight, sleeveless black top and snug-fitting black pants (both designed to cut down on wind-resistance. A wide, intricately brocaded, black, gold and white sash is tied and fastened with several thick, golden ropes that hang near his ankles (hence the name "The Gold-Tailed Flash). The sash conceals his equipment pouch, belted to his waist. Wears a long-sleeved, loose brown traveler's robe top and straw rice-picker's hat when traveling.
Tattoos/Piercings: This on both arms and forearms, two scar-like dashes on the left cheekbone, two cartilage hoops on the right ear, a cuff on the left cartilage and a long earring with some sort of red, crystallized material at the end.
Personality: Seems to be constantly on some sort of high, which can make him rude, stubborn and self-important to a dangerous fault, but he's a generally good-natured guy. His need to constantly go against authority blunts the well-educated mind his family gave him and is more injurious to himself than anyone else since it's led him to drugs and other deviant behavior. Despite all that, he's full of energy and will talk a big game, high or not, and will put all of his power into backing it up since he believes in honor (to an odd extent). He's not one to back down from any sort of challenge, and when he's sober, this nature makes him almost unbeatable.
Additional Info/Notes:
> He's up on dat kryptonite.
Character Background
Personal History: Eschewed from his family right after entering the village shinobi program, he was still often surrounded by people due to his amiable nature. However, he steadily lost friends as he continued on his quest to "stick it to the man", eventually ending up alone. He achieved the rank of chuunin young, but wasn't allowed to progress any further due to his unsavory method of fighting. With no friends, family, or progression left to him in Tsume, he left all too happily at the age of 13 after "borrowing" nearly twenty million ryo from his family vaults.
He spent the next several years of his life working his way over to the western continent with various mercenary jobs and occasional heists to help keep up the funds that fed his drug habits. He arrived at a country in turmoil from the war, which was just at its climax. Being a generally nice guy, he helped defend villages all along the eastern coast, always for money, in the end.
At the end of the war, he "borrowed" a bit more money (totaling around 5- million ryo) from all the villages he'd helped, all in one night. After that, he took on the life of a wanderer, enjoying his pipe and the few pleasures he could get from knocking a few high and might shinobi down a few pegs. His current location is unknown.
Family History:
Born into a family of high-end shinobi on the eastern continent, his distaste for the lifestyle to which they'd become accustomed was apparent even at a young age. He often ran with the "wrong" crowd and would use quite colorful language frequently, even in the presence of the many nobilities the family often worked with. As such, the family decided it might be best if they "give him room to grow"; he was sent to the other side of the village to live and was provided with as much money as he requested on the grounds that he didn't show his face at the family estate or claim grounds with them. He was all too willing to promise this, then run around doing the worst things he could in the name of his family.

"Regular" Jutsus:
Replication Technique
Ninjutsu
~ The ninja creates a replica of themselves. The replica disappears on contact but can be useful in causing distractions or setting up complex attack maneuvers.
Replacement Technique
Ninjutsu
~Changes the ninja's position with a nearby in-animate object. Usually a section of log. Higher skilled people can exchange themselves with another person or other such things. Useful for dodging techniques.
Immitation Technique
Genjutsu
~The ninja creates the illusion that they are another person or object. Can be dispelled by the Kai technique.
Kai - Release
Genjutsu
~A simple technique that allows the user to break enemy genjutsu by focusing their chakra to disturb the other's flow. Can only be performed on jutsu within reasonable range of the user's skill.
Escape Technique
Ninjutsu
~A very simple technique that allows the user to escape from ropes or bindings.
False Place Technique
Genjutsu
~A simple Genjutsu technique which changes the appearance of a nearby object.
Body Flicker Technique
Ninjutsu
~By using a small burst of chakra, the user moves at an insanely fast speed for a couple seconds, giving off the impression of disappearing.
Explosive Point Style[/size]: utilizing a speed that equals that of sound and a pinpoint of electrically charged chakra, explosive blows can be delivered in this unforeseeable, two-fingered fighting style. While there can be quite a back charge from this, the opium-high Buck's usually on makes it negligible, if he feels it at all. This style is used in two ways:
Pao-Shi: Ninjutsu Explosion
By striking right into a ninjutsu-based attack (Katon, Water bullets, the like), he can actually destroy it from the inside, causing the force of it to shatter. This is useful for deflecting attacks and destroying ninjutsu-based attacks, but as stated before, he can often get injured from such a reckless style.
Nin-Jii: Body Explosion
A style for hand-to hand combat with devastating effects. With just a touch of the Explosive Point style, a single blow can shatter bones and tear muscle, effectively destroying whatever it came in contact with. While this is useful for ridding enemies of their arms and legs in a bloody mess, there's a bit of a lag in the attack where the force of the blow much catch up with the strike itself.
Forceful Drawing: Applying the mechanics of battoujutsu to his clawed gauntlets, he uses the force of the initial drawing of the claws from their sheaths as the main point in attacks. This is especially stressed in blocking, as the force of drawing them deflects the other's weapon and leaves an opening through which to strike. Influenced by the idea of samurai's deaths (which, I know, goes against his usual principles entirely), the primary goal with all of his claw attack is disembowelment.
Crystal State: The red crystal earring Buck wears is actually made of an ultra-purified, super-strength, and uber-concentrated opium. While it might just give you the best high you've ever had if ground down and smoked it, it's actually made to just be taken orally and sucked on. Doing so produces a state of super sense and painlessness that compliments all Buck's techniques and would give him a super advantage in any fight. However, this is the good stuff and he doesn't wanna waste it on just any fight, so back off.
