Abe grunted, bracing himself, but obviously having underestimated their taijutsu abilities, even having already guessed that they were of the Inuzuka clan. The degree to which he could emanate chakra to repel them had already diminished greatly, particularly against such an attack. Feeling the blood rushing out of him, he focused on what would probably be his last good shot, building up everything he had left for closer. With a roar of fury, he poured every bit of chakra he had into his fists, the red glow returning in a flash as he slammed his arms around the pair of them, bear hugging the holy jeebus out of them
Pouring out all the chakra he could, Abe kicked wildly in the air, twisting their bodies around, slowly, but building momentum, flipping round and round faster as they descended, becoming a bright red, whirling ball of destruction. It wasn't a technique he was used to using, but he'd seen it enough to make use of it...
"Modified Lotus!! Black Tortoise Drop!!!!" He whipped them around a final time, the tracker pair positioned below him before they slammed into the ground with epic results, sending a pillar of sandy destruction into the air high enough that it could probably been seen for a number of miles. Animals fled in mass exodus of terror, ostriches warbling and caw-cawing in a frenzy as they rode the sandy tidal waves to safety.

The attack culminated with another large poof of smoke and a loud, heart-wrenching yelp. Takeshi was gone, apparently a bunshin, leaving only Abe and the large dog who lay there motionless, mouth open and whining softly.
"NIM!" The real shinobi's voice echoed through the dusty world the battlefield had become. He pulled himself out of the ground about twenty meters away, ripping off his mask as he stumbled to his feet, dashing to the poor creature's aid. Not his doggy! =OO

Amidst the rubble and confusion, and the tracker's recovery of his partner, Abe had wormed his way away through the sand again, covering a solid distance and checking his surroundings before being brave enough to resurface and cover more distance that way. He wasn't terribly far from the village as it were, and could tell that the Inuzuka hadn't followed him; he could only hope and assume that Kara had gotten away somehow as well.
Meanwhile, Ware arrived, calmly surveying the area for his partner, whom he spotted quickly. He seemed uninjured, but the dog was down. He shook his head, coming up alongside him.
"Guess they got away. Tch." He pressed a hand to the animal, doing what he could to help it stabilize.

Takeshi mumbled a half-hearted apology, too busy stroking the dog's head to really discuss this with his partner at the moment. Once he'd gotten past the shock of what had happened and made sure his companion was still alive, he'd had to choke down an unfathomable rage and desire to chase after the boy who'd done this. If he hadn't hated the missing nin before, he sure as hell did now; of the few things that really got to the man, hurting Nim like that was among the worst.
"He fractured one of her shoulder blades. It's not life-threatening, but she's in a lot of pain right now." He muttered, then looked up at his partner, rather grim-faced. "What's our plan for now?"

"Retreat and recover. We'll take some time to build some new strategies, but we'll have to wait it out. With this and everything else going on, its gonna' get all too obvious that the war's starting. We won't be able to move for a while...not when the border scout's move."
He sighed heavily, continuing to work at the dog, finishing up what medical jutsu he could do to help. He produced a few sparse medical supplies, wrapping the animal up carefully.
"C'mon. We'll fall back into the border countries and wait for word."
--------------------
A bit later, slowly trudging now, hot, tired, and a bit woozy from blood loss that he had thankfully managed to stop, Abe trudged into the sight of the main gate of Suna, approaching it carefully and thankful to see Kara seemingly uninjured waiting for him. He gave a wave and grin, obviously a bit forced.
"Guess you win this race, Kara-san." He joked weakly. "But two on one wasn't really fair odds, ya' know?"

The girl didn't seem to be listening to him, but rushed at him, nearly knocking his already unsteady form over with a relieved hug.
"You dumbasss...!" she muttered, squeezing tighter for a moment before pulling away to look up at him with a devastating mix of anger and extreme worry. "The first fucking day out of my sight and you end up like this.... Can't you do anything without me there? I've been waiting here forever, do you have any idea how worried I was...?!"
She pounded her fist against his chest, mouth a straight line that looked like she was trying not to cry.
"Dumbass...."

Abe grinned, scratching his head and then giving the girl a gentle pat. "Ah, you don't have to worry so much. I told you I'd meet up with ya'. Just...trust me." He smiled warmly, ruffling her hair a bit. He hated making her worry, really. He felt terrible about it. >.>;;
"S'alright now. Lets head in, hm?"

Still quite angsty, she nodded and headed into the safety of the village with him, still muttering obscenities the whole way.
Now that she was sure Abe was alright, she could now turn her mind to the attack itself. Rather troublesome... she had no idea who would justifiably want to attack her; no, there was the one thing she had managed to escape from. If those were Konoha mercenaries, this probably wouldn't be the last attack they staged. She'd have to report this to Kokoro-sensei eventually...
